Why Yoga for People with Diabetes?

Yoga - work-out against blood sugar spikes with a work-in effect

The ADA 2023 Guidelines recommend a regular yoga program for older adults with diabetes. Previous scientific studies on yoga for type 2 diabetes show a positive effect on FG and HbA1c, as well as a positive effect on stress reduction.

Yoga gets us moving and also has a positive effect on the mental and emotional level. People with diabetes, who are affected both physically and mentally by their condition, can benefit from a yoga practice tailored to their needs. Practical exercises will also be incorporated into this lecture. We will practice standing and sitting.
