Mindful yoga as a gateway to more exercise and relaxation for people with diabetes
Yoga - work-out against blood sugar spikes with a work-in effect
Yoga gets us moving and at the same time has a positive effect on the mental and emotional level. People with diabetes who are affected both physically and mentally by their illness can benefit from a yoga practice that is tailored to their needs.
Yoga exercises can be performed in all variations and individually adapted. Therefore, anyone can practise yoga and intervention studies in diabetes show good compliance.
In this lecture I will show how we can adapt yoga exercises for PWD and integrate them into everyday life in simple exercise sequences. Comfortable clothing is sufficient. We practise standing and on the chair.
